Rui Shi received his Ph.D. from the School of Chemistry at Sun Yat-sen University, China, in 2018 for his work on the VUV-UV spectroscopic study of lanthanide-doped materials. After a three-year stay at the Department of Physics at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, as a researcher, he joined the Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry at Stockholm University, Sweden, as a full-time researcher in 2022. His current research interests are associated with the study of energy transfer dynamics in lanthanide-doped materials and the controllable synthesis of luminescent nanocrystals.
