Dr. Rouven Pfleger’s research field is Coordination Chemistry and Magnetochemistry. He did his studies in chemistry at the Heidelberg University (B.Sc.) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (M.Sc.). During his PhD, awarded in 2021, and his year as a postdoc at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, he specialized in the synthesis of small lanthanide complexes and the investigation of magnetic relaxation processes. In 2019 he was awarded with a Research Travel Grant for a research project on dinuclear lanthanide containing compounds by the Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists, which was performed at the København Universitet. Starting in the end of 2022 he is now working on Magnetic Ionic Liquids and Coordination Chemistry in Ionic Liquids.
